We are proud to share the news that our founder Dr Roisin Hyde has been selected as a winner of the prestigious #WomenTechEU program by the European Commission! The EU-funded scheme received a record breaking 1038 applications from 43 eligible countries, the highest number of submissions to date, demonstrating the growing demand for support among women-led deep tech startups across Europe. Women TechEU is a 2-year EU-funded initiative launched in February 2024, dedicated to supporting women leading deep tech startups across Europe and Associated Countries. Its mission: to create a more gender-balanced entrepreneurship ecosystem because diversity drives innovation. Being chosen as a #WomenTechEU winner is a mark of excellence and a powerful endorsement of NoMAD’s work on the development of our BeeBlox.These prototype 3D printed hexagonal concrete landscaping components form wild-Bee friendly habitats along urban and rural infrastructure networks, to serve as a source of food and shelter for wild bees, connecting fragmented habitats, allowing our pollinators, wildlife and nature to thrive.
